Frequently Asked Questions
Is my purchase tax-deductible?
Our first answer is probably not, since you are still
receiving a product with the same fair market value as the amount you spend.
However, since we are not attorneys or tax advisors, we suggest you contact
them for a firm answer.
Can I still contribute to my group if I make my
purchase in person or by phone?
For the vast majority of the companies we are affiliated
with, the answer is no. In some very rare cases there are companies
that will ask for a referral code and credit your group, but the best bet is
always to make the purchase online.
Who do I contact if I have a problem with my order?
Once you pass through onto our affiliates' web sites, they
are responsible for your order from start to finish, just as if you had gone
there directly. Since we don't have access to personally identifying
information on each order, there would be nothing we could do other than to
direct you to their customer service center.
When do I get paid?
The answer to this question depends in large
part on which merchant. Some issue payments monthly, some bi-monthly, and
some quarterly. Generally there’s a lag of anywhere from 20 days to two
months during which affiliate merchants make adjustments based on returns.
We update your balance at the end of each month. Any month your balance
exceeds $100 (which isn’t tough to do) we will issue a check. If for some
reason your balance is less than $100, we roll your balance over to the next
month. It’s not unusual to see a delay of a couple of months before you see
your first check, and we’ll keep you updated as to your sales each month on
a running basis so you know what to expect.
Is eFundSource safe?
We are as safe as any other business that is
done on the web. Your visitors are passed through to the merchant’s own web
site, which means that they get the benefit of each merchant’s tough
security standards. Not only that, but unlike many of our competitors,
eFundSource doesn’t collect personally identifying information about your
supporters that could be linked to their transactions.
What can I expect to make?
As with anything else, it all depends. We
expect that once you get your site up and running you’ll be able to do very
well with a regular promotional schedule.
You mention an e-mail newsletter. I’m
concerned about unwanted spam.
So are we. It’s not good for the groups we
work with, our affiliate merchants, or eFundSource if people are getting
unwanted e-mail. This is why we have partnered with Constant Contact, one
of the leaders in the e-mail marketing industry, to ensure that only those
who have told us they want our e-mail get our e-mail! We’re fully compliant
with current spam legislation, and every e-mail contains an opt-out link for
those who no longer want your communications.
Can our supporters still use coupons or
promotions?
Certainly! In fact, many of our affiliate
merchants make exclusive deals available to us that aren’t available to
casual visitors to their site. With very few exceptions (such as when a
user needs to type in a specific site to get the promotion) users can take
advantage of the discounts or loyalty programs they would otherwise use.
This sounds great, but why would these
businesses do this?
While each business we work with has their
own reasons, many of them see this as just another form of advertising.
Rather than spend money on a television or newspaper ad, they are choosing
to build loyalty to their business/brand this way instead.
How can I start raising money for my organization?
We're glad you asked. Give us a call at

info@efundsource.com. Either way, we'll get you the information
you need to get started!
